Jess Klein is an American folk and blues singer-songwriter born in 1974 in Rochester, New York. Klein established a musical background as a college student in Kingston, Jamaica, where the writing of songs began. The recording career featured the debut independent album Wishes Well Disguised (1998) and winning the Telluride Troubadour Songwriting Contest.In 2000, Klein joined the label Rykodisc and recorded the album Draw Them Near. Professional activity featured a worldwide tour and a performance at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Klein became a member of the songwriter collective Voices on the Verge and performed the song “Little White Dove” on Good Morning America. The discography featured the albums Strawberry Lover (2005), City Garden (2006), Learning Faith (2014), and When We Rise (2023).
