Martin Brygmann, born 25 January 1963 in Kølvrå, Viborg Municipality, Denmark, is a Danish singer, songwriter, composer, guitarist, drummer, comedian, actor, screenwriter, and voice actor. Growing up as the youngest of four children, Brygmann played guitar in school bands before studying acting at the State Theatre Academy in Copenhagen from 1981 to 1985. In 2003, he collaborated with Julie Berthelsen for the soundtrack for the TV series Jesus & Josefine, which featured the title track that became a Christmas standard. His first single, "Fuck Nu Har Jeg Glemt Mit Kort", was released on 27 December 2010, followed by "Min Navn Er Todd" on 2 May 2011 and "Jeg Er Forelsket I Mig Selv" on 12 September 2011, establishing his presence in the Danish music scene.Brygmann’s recording career progressed with the album De Fleste Ulykker Sker Med Lemmet on 4 April 2011, which included the single "Lad det Ske" that reached Number One in Denmark in 2005. Subsequent releases include the album Bates Delight on 25 August 2017, the album Absolute Christmas – Den Bedste Julemusik on 25 October 2019, and the album Fyrtøjet – En Gnist I Andersens Liv on 28 May 2021. Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists such as Birthe Kjær, Hella Joof, Paprika Steen, and Peter Frödin, and has written music for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix entrants. Brygmann received the Robert award for film music in 2002 and 2018. He has also contributed as a screenwriter, voice actor for animated films, and has appeared in over 60 film and television productions, including the Vater hoch vier series.
