Reinhard Horn is a German children's musician born on 6 December 1955 in Lippstadt. He studied pedagogy, theology, and musicology before founding the group Kontakte, which became a prominent act in the religious and spiritual music scene. Beginning in 1979, Horn and Kontakte performed at major Catholic events, and during the 1980s, he created religious musicals such as Zwischenlandung Ninive (1983). In 1991, he premiered the rock-requiem Die Kinder von Tschernobyl. Horn shifted his focus primarily toward children's music in 1996, collaborating with various authors and publishers. Albums include Elefantenlieder für kleine Mäuse (2012) and Baby in Bewegung (2012). He was appointed a musical ambassador for Singende Krankenhäuser e.V. in 2012 and for Kindernothilfe in 2015. Horn has published over 200 records and written more than 2,000 songs, winning the Deutscher Rock und Pop Preis for Best Children's Song Album in 2011 with Meine schönsten Kinderlieder.
