Juicy Lucy, a British blues rock band, was officially formed on October 1, 1969. The group originated from the remnants of The Misunderstood and included Glenn Ross Campbell on lap steel guitar and Chris Mercer on saxophone. Their debut single, "Who Do You Love", a cover of Bo Diddley's composition, reached Number 20 in the UK charts. Juicy Lucy's self-titled debut album narrowly missed Number 40, featuring a controversial cover with a nude burlesque dancer, Zelda Plum. The band underwent several lineup changes, including the addition of Paul Williams on vocals and Micky Moody on guitar for their second album, Lie Back and Enjoy It. Despite these changes, Juicy Lucy faced creative and commercial challenges, leading to the departure of co-founders Campbell and Mercer before their fourth album, Pieces, in 1972. The group disbanded shortly after its release. In 1996, Paul Williams and Micky Moody reunited under the Juicy Lucy name for the album Blue Thunder. Ray Owen, an original member, revived the band's name in 1995 with the album Here She Comes Again, but legal issues led to a name change to Ray Owen's Moon. After resolving these issues, Juicy Lucy released Do That And You'll Lose It in 2006 and toured extensively. The band continued to perform until 2018, when Ray Owen passed away from cancer.
