Los Huasos Quincheros, a Chilean folk musical group, was formed in April 1937 by Carlos Morgan, Pedro and Ernesto Amenábar, and Mario Besoaín. Initially known as Los Quincheros, they began performing on Radio Agricultura and later adopted the name Los Huasos Nuevos ('The New Cowboys') in 1939. In 1958, following a legal dispute, they changed their name to Los Huasos Quincheros. The group toured extensively across America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, receiving recognition from the Organisation of American States and IMC-UNESCO. Notable achievements include winning the folk section of the Viña del Mar International Song Festivals folk cataegory multiple times, and receiving the Premio a la Música Presidente de la República (Presidential Award for Music) in 2012. Their album 75 años sold over 15,000 copies in Chile in June 2013.
