Juana Reina Castrillo (born August 25, 1925), known professionally as Juanita Reina, was a Spanish singer and actress from Seville. Reina performed at the Teatro Cervantes at age 13 and debuted her first spectacle, Los Churumbeles, in 1940. Her father subsequently financed the spectacle Tabaco y seda. Reina performed in the copla genre during the 1940s and 1950s. Her film career included roles in La blanca Paloma (1942), La Lola se va a los puertos (1947), and Lola la Piconera (1951). Her discography included the recordings “Francisco Alegre” (1945), “Carmen de España” (1952), and the album Así canta Juanita Reina (1957). Reina received the Medalla de Plata al Mérito en el Trabajo in 1975 and the Medalla de Oro de Andalucía in 1992. She performed in the concert Azabache at the Expo '92. Reina died on March 19, 1999.
