Jahn Teigen, born on September 27, 1949, in Tønsberg, Norway, was a singer, musician, and comedian. He began his career in the late 1960s and had his commercial breakthrough as the lead singer of Popol Vuh in the early 1970s. The band released several albums, including Popol Vuh (1972). He also performed at the Roskilde Festival in 1972 as part of Popol Vuh, and the band also released Stolen From Time in 1976. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, performing "Mil etter mil" in 1978, "Adieu" in 1982, and "Do re mi" in 1983. Teigen was also a member of the Norwegian humor trio Prima Vera, which released seven albums between 1977 and 1983. He passed away on February 24, 2020.
