Caroline Peyton, born on October 8, 1951, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, was an American singer. She grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, and began performing at a young age with her sisters. Peyton attended George Washington High School and later enrolled at Northwestern University in Chicago. In the early 1970s, she moved to Bloomington, Indiana, where she collaborated with Mark Bingham and released her debut album Mock Up in 1972 on Bar-B-Q Records. The album featured compositions by Bingham such as "Between-Two" and "Engram." Peyton's second album, Intuition, was released in 1977 and included songs co-written with Bingham. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she voiced characters in four Disney animated films: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She passed away on August 11, 2021.
