María del Carmen Alvarado Ayub, known professionally as Arianna, was born on November 27, 1958, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, and is a singer and actress. She started her career in children’s programs and contests before debuting as a model on Variedades de media noche and in photonovelas. Her first album, Abrázame (1979), featured hits like "Vete" and "Abrázame". Arianna's breakthrough came with her selection for the Festival Internacional de la Canción OTI, earning her first gold record. Her album Todo por amor (1985) received a gold record, and her single "Corazón romántico" topped the charts. Arianna also performed at the Viña del Mar festival in Chile, earning the title of Reina del festival. She also released collections of film soundtracks under the title Amores De Película in the 1990s.
