Mainstay was a Christian rock ensemble from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2003. After they released a self-titled EP, the group signed with BEC Recordings to debut their 2006 album, Well Meaning Fiction. Their melodic sound garnered crossover appeal that led to the 2007 release of Become Who You Are. The band achieved significant radio success with the single "Believe," which peaked at number 5 on the Christian CHR chart and became one of the most-played tracks on contemporary Christian music stations in 2008. Their later discography includes the 2009 EPs Believe and Where Your Heart Belongs.
