Marilina Ross is an Argentine singer-songwriter and actress born María Celina Parrondo on February 16, 1943, in Buenos Aires. She began her acting career at age eight at the Teatro Infantil Labardén and made her professional debut at 16 in the play Lucy Crown. In the 1960s, Ross collaborated with poet Paco Urondo to compose songs such as “La bomba nuclear” and “Todo tiempo pasado fue mejor”. She released her first single in 1966, which included the tracks “Qué será de mí” and “Mariposa de color”. In 1975, RCA Victor released her debut album, Estados de Ánimo, featuring the recording “Quereme... tengo frío”. Due to the military dictatorship, Ross was exiled in Spain between 1976 and 1980. Her discography included the recordings Soles (1982), Conectándome (1989), and De Amor y Locuras (1993). Ross received a Konex Award in 1995 and was named a Distinguished Citizen of Buenos Aires in 2009.
