Milla Jovovich, born Milica Jovović on 17 December 1975 in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a singer and actress who began her career as a model before transitioning to music. After signing with SBK Records in the late 1980s, she released her debut studio album The Divine Comedy on 5 April 1994, which combined pop‑rock with Ukrainian folk elements and received critical praise for its lyrical depth. In 1998 she recorded a follow‑up project that remained unreleased, and in 1999 she formed the experimental band Plastic Has Memory, performing in Los Angeles and New York but never issuing an album. Jovovich continued to contribute vocals to film soundtracks, including The Million Dollar Hotel (2000) and Dummy (2002), and collaborated with artists such as Maynard James Keenan on Puscifer tracks.
