Mónica Molina Tejedor, born in 1968 in Madrid, Spain, is a singer and actress. She began her career as an actress before transitioning to music. In 1999, she released her debut album Tu despedida, which earned her a Gold Disc. Her second album, Vuela (2001), achieved Platinum status and was nominated for the Grammy Latino and Premios de la Música Española. The album included the song “Pequeño fado” by Andrés Aberasturi and reached Number 1 in sales charts in Turkey. In 2003, she released De cal y arena. Her fourth album, A vida (2006), included melodies from the TV series Amar en tiempos revueltos. In 2012, she released Mar blanca, interpreting songs made famous by her father, Antonio Molina.
