Nicolas Asimos, born on August 20, 1949, in Thessaloniki, Greece, was a Greek composer and singer. He began his musical journey during his college years at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he wrote songs and performed in local boîtes. Asimos moved to Athens in 1973 and released his first official recording "O Mihanismos / O Romios" in 1975. Notable albums include Kasseta me to vareli pou gia na vgei to spaei (1978), Eimai palianthropos (1979), and O Ksanapes (1982). His later years were marked by personal struggles, including a controversial trial in 1987 that significantly affected his psychological state. On March 17, 1988, he committed suicide. The album Viomichania tou Pezodromiou was posthumously released in 2002.
