Monica Pauline “Nikki” Santos Gil-Albert, known professionally as Nikki Gil, is a Filipino singer, actress, host, model, and video jockey. She showed early musical talent at a young age, performing singing and voiceover work for commercials as a child. Gil rose to prominence at 17 after appearing in a 2005 Coca-Cola commercial, which led to the release of her self-titled debut album under EMI Philippines, featuring “Sakayan ng Jeep” as its carrier single. In 2006, she collaborated with Walt Disney Records and other Asian artists for the promotional release of High School Musical, contributing vocals to songs such as “Breaking Free” and “Gotta Go My Own Way,” and appearing in its music video. Her second album, Hear My Heart, was released in 2010, with the title track as its lead single.
