Orange Bicycle was an English psychedelic pop group from Crouch End, North London. The band formed as a skiffle group in 1959 before transitioning to rock and roll as Robb Storme and the Whispers. Lead singer Robert Scales, known as Robb Storme, performed with members John Bachini, Kevin Currie, Bernie Lee, and Wilson Malone. The group signed with Decca Records in 1960.The band adopted the name Orange Bicycle in 1967. That year, the group released the recording "Hyacinth Threads", which reached Number 1 in France. In 1968, the band performed at the Isle of Wight Festival. The group released the album The Orange Bicycle in 1970, which included covers of the recordings "Carry That Weight" and "Take Me to the Pilot". Following the 1971 recording "Goodbye Stranger", the group became inactive. Malone subsequently worked as an arranger and producer. Orange Bicycle became inactive in 1971.
