Out of Tune, a Polish rock band, was formed in Warsaw in 2005 by bassist and vocalist Eryk Sarniak, guitarist Maciej Sobczyński, and drummer Michał Witkowski. The following year, keyboardist Mateusz Gągol joined the group, adding electronic elements to their sound. Their first concert took place at Smok club in Otwock, Poland. In 2006, Out of Tune released their debut EP Killer Pop Machine, which garnered media attention and positive reviews. The band's breakthrough came with their appearance at the Heineken Opener Festival in 2007. They signed with EMI Music Poland later that year and released their self-titled debut album Out Of Tune in August 2008, featuring the single "Plastikowy". The band supported artists such as Junior Boys and Bugz In The Attic in gigs across Europe, and appeared in the film Jasne Błękitne Okna.
