Pauli Antero "Pate" Mustajärvi, born on July 12, 1956 in Tampere, Finland, is a Finnish rock singer known as the vocalist and frontman of Popeda. He is affectionately called "Ikurin turbiini" ("the turbine of Ikuri") in his hometown. His breakthrough came with Nyt! (1984). Mustajärvi released several solo albums, including Lago Nero (1988), Ikurin Turbiini (1995) and Vol. 4 (1998). He appeared in the 1984 film Calamari Union, directed by Aki Kaurismäki, and contributed two songs to the soundtrack of the Finnish action/thriller film Vares - yksityisetsivä (2004). His notable singles include "Ajan päivin, ajan öin" (2005) and "Kaksoiselämää" (2009).
