Peter "Pete" Doherty (born March 12, 1979 in Hexham) is a rock musician from Great Britain. The guitarist and singer is also a member of the indie rock bands Babyshambles and The Libertines. He has been celebrating numerous musical successes since 1997. The busy musician has also dedicated himself to his solo career since the mid-2000s. Peter Doherty released several songs together with other artists, including the single "For Lovers" with Wolfman (number 7 in the UK in 2004) and the T-Rex classic "Children Of The Revolution" (2005) with Elton John. Peter Doherty's first solo album Grace/Wastelands followed in 2009. The album made it into the top 20 of the international charts. The musician continues to struggle with drug problems. It therefore took until 2016 before the next album Hamburg Demonstrations was released. In 2019, Peter Doherty & the Puta Madres is followed by another album by the singer together with The Puta Madres. In 2022, Peter Doherty teams up with Frédéric Lo and releases the album The Fantastic Life Of Poetry & Crime. This was followed in May 2025 by another solo album by the artist, Felt Better Alive.
