Ricky Andrew Fanté is an American rhythm and blues and soul singer born on November 4, 1970, in Los Angeles. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Fanté signed a development deal in 2001. In 2002, Fanté and Scott Rickett released the album Soul Surfing. Fanté subsequently released the EP Introducing... Ricky Fanté in 2003. After signing with Virgin Records, Fanté released the album Rewind in 2004. The record featured the song “It Ain’t Easy”, which reached number 8 on the Italian music chart. In 2005, Fanté recorded the songs “Shine” for the film Robots and “That’s All I Need” for the film Lackawanna Blues. Fanté performed a duet with Giorgia Todrani for the album MTV Unplugged. In 2009, Fanté recorded the “Shark Tank Theme” before becoming inactive. Fanté resumed activity in 2016 to release the album Good Fortune.
