Small Sins, an indie rock band from Toronto, Canada, was founded by Thomas D'Arcy. Initially a solo project under the name The Ladies and Gentlemen, D'Arcy recorded his debut album Small Sins independently before forming a live band consisting of Kevin Hilliard, Todor Kobakov, Steve Krecklo, and Brent Follett. Due to legal reasons, the project was renamed Small Sins. In 2007, they released their second album Mood Swings, produced by John McIntyre, followed by Pot Calls Kettle Black in 2010, which featured contributions from the touring band members. The single "Why Don't You Believe Me?" peaked at Number 28 on the Alternative Rock charts in 2011. After disbanding, D'Arcy continued as a solo artist.
