Speedstar was an Australian alternative rock group from Brisbane, Queensland, formed in 1995. The band consisted of Alister Bell, Richard Johnston, Dave Love, Ben Smith, and Luke Sullivan. The group released the EPs Speedster / Falling Star and Wishing Your Life Away in 2001.In May 2002, the band released the debut studio album Bruises You Can Touch. Produced by Steve James, the recording reached number 81 on the Australian chart and included the recordings "Revolution" and "This Everyday Life". Speedstar released the second album Forget the Sun, Just Hold On in May 2004. Produced by Tony Doogan, the album reached number 59 and featured the recording "Unbreakable". In 2005, the group released the recording "Are You Feeling Better Angela?". The band became inactive in 2006.
