Stein Ove Berg, born on December 22, 1948 in Kløfta, Norway, was a singer and songwriter. His musical breakthrough came with the song "Manda morra blues" in 1973. He released his debut album Kommer nå in 1974. Berg was awarded the Spellemannprisen for his album Visa di in 1975. His subsequent albums included La dette bli min sang (1976), Når dagen kommer (1977), Veiviser (1979), Egg (1980), and Bergtatt (1981). Following his death on June 17, 2002 in Oslo, a tribute album featuring performances by artists such as Henning Kvitnes, Hilde Heltberg, and Roy Lønhøiden was released in 2005. Additionally, Jonas Fjeld recorded the song "Stein Ove" in his honor in 2009.
