Jonas Myrin, born in 1982 in Örebro, is a Swedish musician known for his work as a singer and songwriter. He began playing the piano at an early age and wrote his first song at eleven. His parents' charity and ministry work exposed him to various musical influences, including Stevie Wonder and The Beatles. At seventeen, Jonas Myrin moved to London, where he studied at a creative arts college and co-wrote songs for Hillsong Music. His breakthrough came in 2012 with the gold-certified single "Day of the Battle" in Germany. He gained significant recognition for co-writing "10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)" with Matt Redman, which won two Grammy Awards. Jonas Myrin has collaborated extensively with notable artists such as Barbra Streisand, Idina Menzel, and Andrea Bocelli. In 2013, he released his debut album Dreams Plan Everything. His songwriting credits include hits like "Our God" for Chris Tomlin and the opening theme "Period" for the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, performed by Chemistry. Jonas Myrin has won multiple awards, including Billboard and Dove Awards, and has been nominated for several Grammys. He signed a global publishing deal with Universal Music Group in 2015 and remained active songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles.
