Anjan Chattopadhyay, a sitarist from Calcutta, India, began his musical journey under the guidance of his elder brother, Pandit Gourisankar Chattopadhyay. He later received training from Vidushi Kalyani Roy, a disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan.Anjan Chattopadhyay's career took off with performances at prestigious venues such as the Dover Lane Music Conference and the India International Center in New Delhi. He released his debut album, Sunset, in 2010, followed by Melodies for the Soul later that year. Throughout his career, Anjan received numerous accolades, including the first prize in the All India Music Competition in 1986 and the 'SURMANI' title in 1987. He was also honored with the Governor’s Citation from New Jersey in 1990 and Maryland in 2004.
