Zeke Manyika, born on February 23, 1955 in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, is a Zimbabwean musician known for his roles as a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter. He began his career in Britain, joining the Scottish jangle pop band Orange Juice from 1982 to 1984, appearing on their hit single "Rip It Up". Manyika also played drums on singles by The Style Council and played on several albums by The The. In 1984, he was enlisted by Kate Bush to play drums on "Running Up That Hill", though his track was not included in the final version. Manyika's solo albums include Call and Response (released by Polydor) and Mastercrime. His music video for the single "Bible Belt" won the Golden Circle Award.
