Watashi Wa is an American indie pop-rock band formed in 1999 in San Luis Obispo, California, led by Seth Roberts. The group initially signed with Bettie Rocket, releasing Lost a Few Battles... (2000) and What’s in the Way (2001) before joining Tooth & Nail Records. Their label debut, The Love of Life, was released in 2003 and featured the single "Wonderful." Although the original lineup disbanded in 2004, Roberts continued the project, eventually evolving into the band Eager Seas, which released the album Eager Seas in 2006. This work included tracks such as "Message in a Bottle." Years later, the project returned to the Watashi Wa name to produce the 2022 album People Like People for Tooth & Nail Records.
