Vanessa Colaiutta is an Argentine singer-songwriter who later established her career in Mexico. She began her music career at age 14 with her debut album Vanesa in 1988. Her album Ven, Ven (1990), featured the hit single of the same name, an adaptation of Simon Butterfly’s "Rain Rain Rain." In 1992, she released Soy Una Persona, which included one of her most popular songs, "Si estuvieras aquí," and marked the peak of her popularity, followed by extensive performances across Argentina. Her self-titled album (2005), released under a new stage name, marked her first album issued outside Argentina and included the singles "Sola" and "Lágrimas Rotas."
