Trine Rein, born on November 7, 1970, is an American-Norwegian singer. Her debut solo album, Finders Keepers, was released in 1993, topping the Norwegian album chart for five weeks and becoming a hit in Japan due to extensive foreign press coverage during the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer. The album's lead single, "Just Missed the Train", became Rein's trademark song. Her second album, Beneath My Skin, was released in 1996, featuring the popular cover of "Torn". Although it sold less than her debut, the album went straight to number 1 on the Norwegian charts. In 2004, she returned to Norway for a comeback and released her first compilation CD, The Very Best of Trine Rein.
