Afromental, a Polish rock and rapcore band, was formed in Olsztyn in 2004. The group gained early recognition by debuting at the Review of Young Bands in the 'Olsztyńska' Newspaper. Their first album, The Breakthru, was released on October 15, 2007, with the single "I've Got What You Need" qualifying for the Top Trendy Festival 2007 in Sopot. In 2008, Afromental participated in the Eurovision Song Contest qualifiers with "Thing We've Got". Their second album, Playing With Pop, released on March 9, 2009, reached number 19 on the Polish Music Charts and earned them a Superjedynka award for Band of the Year. The band continued to release albums including The B.O.M.B. on November 15, 2011 and Mental House on November 24, 2014. Notable singles include "Rock&Rollin' Love" and "Rollin' With You". Afromental's contributions to Polish music were recognized with a nomination for the Phonografic Frederick award in 2010.
