Micah Keith Stampley is an American gospel singer-songwriter. From 1994 to 1997, he sang in Rev. Earl Johnson’s church in Pasadena, California, before returning to Louisiana to work in his father’s church music department. In 1998 he married fellow gospel singer and nursing student Heidi Jones, who has contributed songs to his work, and in 1999 the couple relocated to New Orleans, where he served as co-choir director and musician at Bishop Paul Morton’s Greater St. Stephen’s Church. In 2003 he became assistant minister of music at St. Agnes Baptist Church in Houston, and in 2004 he won the Stellar Award Gospel Star Search competition. His debut album The Songbook Of Micah (2005) entered the Billboard Gospel chart at number 3, and he was listed among Billboard’s Top 10 Gospel Music Artists in 2005. His discography includes A Fresh Wind, The Second Sound... (2006), Ransomed (2008), Release Me (2010), One Voice (2011), Love Never Fails (2013), and To the King: Vertical Worship (2016), which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Top Gospel Album chart.
