Vreni Kneubühl, born May 19, 1920 in Herzogenbuchsee, Switzerland, was a Swiss yodeler, director, and actress. She began yodeling at local gatherings during her school years and made her first public appearances with a theater troupe. In 1943, she joined the Bernese Cantonal Yodeling Association (BKJV) and met composer Jakob Ummel, with whom she made over 100 recordings, including Singe, Jödele, Bödele Serie 4 and Singt Jodellieder Von Jakob Ummel. Kneubühl regularly participated in yodeling festivals, earning high praise throughout her career. Her repertoire included over 250 songs. She received various honors, including the Cultural Recognition Prize of the City of Burgdorf in 1982 and honorary memberships from the BKJV and the Swiss Yodeling Association. Kneubühl passed away on January 1, 2007.
