Joshua James "Josh" McInnes, professionally known as JAKAZiD or “JKZ,” is a British producer and DJ born on May 7, 1988, in Portsmouth, England. Specializing in UK hardcore, techno hardcore, and breakbeat, McInnes began his career in 2000. He gained initial recognition for the viral remix “Calm Down Dear”, based on an Esure advertisement. In 2007, his track “Cillit Bang” reached number 3 on the BBC Independent Chart and number 8 on the UK Dance Chart. McInnes’s discography included the album Josh Hour (2007), the EP dumbepthatjakazidcompiled (2012), and the single “Need U More /Remixes/” (2013). Formerly with the Nukleuz label, he established his own label, Aural Adrenaline. He collaborated with acts such as Spray and DJ Evil and became associated with the J-core movement and Hardcore Tano*C events. In 2013, he released the Daft Punk-inspired track “Get Clucky”.
