Kenneth W. Parchman, known professionally as Kenny Parchman, was born on January 15, 1932, near Jackson in Madison County, Tennessee, and was a rockabilly musician. At 14, his family home was destroyed by a fire. He formed his first music group during high school and later joined the army, serving until 1955. After his discharge, he began performing live shows where he met Jerry Lee Lewis. In 1956, Parchman signed with Sun Records and recorded the single "Love Crazy Baby" that same year but stopped the release at the last minute. His first album was recorded in 1957 but only published in 1985. Parchman passed away on June 2, 1999, in Madison, Tennessee, after battling mycobacterium avium disease.
