The Keller Quartett, a German string quartet from Munich, was founded by violinist Erich Keller. The ensemble initially consisted of members from the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, with Keller serving as the first violinist and concertmaster. The group's repertoire spanned classical to 20th-century music, and they were particularly noted for their advocacy of contemporary compositions post-World War II. Notable performances included premieres by Wilhelm Killmayer and Boris Blacher, as well as appearances at Musica Viva in Frankfurt. The Keller Quartett released several albums, including recordings of works by Paul Hindemith, Max Reger, Anton Bruckner, and Hugo Wolf. Specific notable releases include Die Kunst der Fuge (1998), Schnittke : Lento (2003), and Cantante E Tranquillo (2015).
