Dolf Brouwers was a Dutch comedian and singer from Utrecht, Netherlands. His breakthrough came in 1972 when he auditioned for the television show De Fred Hachéshow, which led to his portrayal of the character Sjef van Oekel. This role catapulted him into prominence, appearing in subsequent shows like Barend is weer bezig and Van Oekel's Discohoek, where he played the host of a music show. He recorded many songs, including his most famous song "Vette jus" (1974). He released several charting singles, including "Oei, oei, dat was lekker!" (1980), "Oh wat is het toch fijn om gelukkig te zijn" (1985), "Al die rotzooi in de Rijn" (1988), and "De vis wordt duur betaald" (1988) with Manke Nelis, which reached number 46 on the Dutch charts. He died in 1997.
