Thor Modéen (1898–1950), born Thor Odert Folke Modéen in Kungsör, was a Swedish singer, comedian, and actor. Modéen studied under Gustaf Linden at the Lorensbergsteatern in 1916 and began a career as a dancer and revue artist in 1918. Modéen performed at venues including the Södra Teatern and the Royal Swedish Opera. Between 1923 and 1950, Modéen appeared in eighty-eight films, specifically within the pilsnerfilm comedy genre, frequently collaborating with Åke Söderblom. Film roles included merchants, recruits, and police officers. Modéen recorded 228 78 RPM discs featuring sketches and dialogues, many in collaboration with Artur Rolén. His discography includes the albums Köp korvar, Strålande tider, härliga tider!, and the retrospective Etthundra år: 1898-1998. Modéen died of jaundice in Stockholm on May 28, 1950.
