The Rossington Band was an American blues rock group formed in 1986 by Gary Rossington, a founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and his wife Dale Krantz-Rossington. The couple had married in 1982, and after the breakup of the Rossington-Collins Band, they created this new group. Their debut album, Returned to the Scene of the Crime, was released in 1986 with drummer Derek Hess from the Allen Collins Band. Two years later, the band changed its name to The Rossington Band and released their second album, Love Your Man. They toured opening for a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band in 1988. After a 28-year hiatus, they released Take It on Faith in November 2016 under the Rossington moniker. Gary Rossington died on March 5, 2023, at the age of 71.
