The Elected was an American indie rock ensemble formed in 2004 in Los Angeles. The group's initial lineup consisted of Blake Sennett, Mike Bloom, Daniel Brummel, and Jason Boesel. Sennett, Boesel, and Bloom were also members of the band Rilo Kiley, while Brummel performed with the group Ozma. The ensemble released its debut studio album, Me First, in 2004 through Sub Pop Records. This was followed by the 2006 album Sun, Sun, Sun, which featured the recording “I'll Be Your Man”. After a hiatus from the music industry, the group released its third studio album, Bury Me in My Rings, in 2011 through Vagrant Records. The recording featured the tracks “Babyface” and “Go for the Throat”. Sennett produced the final album and played the majority of the instruments himself.
