I make music that tells story with the use of nostalgia
Roginea Dixon stylized as RGNA DXN is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica.
She started out her creative career as a professional model who has walked in major local fashion shows for some of the Caribbean's leading fashion designers. She has been featured in both local and international publications such as Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, MoDA magazine, Flair Jamaica, The Style Observer, Beacon's Quarterly, Nuovo Fashion Digest, and Pornceptual, among many others. She was also featured in Popcaan & Toni-Ann Singh's single, "Next to Me".
Roginea made her debut as an actress in the short film, "Caterpillar Heart" (2020) , which was written by herself and Jamaican cinematographer, Shauntel Walters. She then went on to do roles in other short films such as 'Lioness on the Rise' (2020) and "Like Everyone Else" (2023). In addition, she also had featured roles in HBO series, 'Get Millie Black', BBC 1 series, 'Champion', and in the upcoming Paramount biopic, "Exodus". Roginea also acted in an experimental dancehall musical titled, "Back Den, Back Ben'.
Roginea released her first musical project alongside Japanese artiste, MasaHy called "Possessive Kinda Love". A song for which she is credited as the writer. They have another upcoming project together titled, "Good Vibes", which will be released in August 2023.
When asked about her music, Roginea states, "The intention of my music is to create a chill vibe while playing with nostalgic emotions through storytelling."
