Maynard Ferguson is a Canadian jazz trumpeter and trombonist. The album Dimensions was released in 1954-55. The subsequent album, Maynard Ferguson Octet, was released in 1955, featured compositions by Bill Holman, and included tracks such as "Finger Snappin'" and "Autumn Leaves". The album was recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. The ensemble included Conte Candoli on trumpet, Milt Bernhart on trombone, and Shelly Manne on drums. The album received 4½ stars from Allmusic.
