Autotune, a German DJ and live music project, was founded in 1999 by Adel Dior and Jan-Eric Scholz, also known as Tony Planet. The duo began their musical journey on the Berlin-based label Fumakilla, releasing their first singles "Exploding Fist" and "Fuzziyama / Showdown" that same year. Their debut album Ladyshaker was released in 2000, followed by a series of EPs including Blow Funk EP (2001) and Player's Stuff E.P. (2002). Autotune's music blended techno, electro, and funk elements, with notable tracks such as "Sonicwork" (2001) and "Shibuya Love" (2001). Throughout the 2000s, they continued to release EPs and singles, including Psycho Revolution EP (2004), "Department 1" (2006), and Dirty (2006).
