Omar Fadel (born 1977, Houston) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist specializing in film, television, and video games. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he launched his career in Los Angeles collaborating with Stewart Copeland. Fadel gained recognition for his score to the 2010 film The Taqwacores, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His credits include major projects such as The Dictator (2012) and the game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013). He composed the music for the Oscar-nominated short Day One (2016) and the Peabody Award-winning documentary The Judge (2017). His work continued with the Cannes Film Festival entry Yomeddine (2018) and the Emmy-nominated documentary Belly of the Beast (2020). Fadel also provided the music for the series Six Windows in the Desert and the popular show Critical Role (2021). His television work encompasses scores for The Goode Family and Phenomenon.
