Cidny Bullens, born on March 21, 1955, in Massachusetts, is an American singer-songwriter. Bullens began his music career as a backing vocalist, performing on Gene Clark's No Other and Don Everly's Sunset Towers in 1974. In the mid-1970s, Bullens toured with Elton John as a backing vocalist on three major tours and featured on John's album Blue Moves. He also provided vocals on the soundtrack of the 1978 feature film Grease, including songs like "It's Raining on Prom Night" and "Mooning". In 1978, Bullens released his debut solo album, Desire Wire, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. His second album, Steal the Night, was released in 1979. After taking a break from music to raise a family, Bullens returned with the album Cindy Bullens in 1989 and later released Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth in 1999, which won the AFIM Best Rock Album award in 2000. Throughout the 2000s, Bullens continued to release albums such as Neverland, Dream Number 29, and Howling Trains and Barking Dogs. In 2020, he released his first album after undergoing gender affirmation, Walkin' Through This World.
