Najbolji Hrvatski Tamburaši, originally formed as Zlatni Dukati in 1983 in Croatia, is a traditional tambura group. The band's initial lineup included members such as Zoran Bucković and Stanko Šarić. After a tour organized by the Croatian Fraternal Union from the USA, they recorded the patriotic album Hrvatska pjesmarica, which heavily contributed to the popularization of tambura music. They also recorded war songs coinciding with the Greater Serbian aggression on Croatia in 1991. Following internal issues, Mato Lukačević and Krešimir Bogutovac reformed Zlatni Dukati, releasing several albums including Nek zvone tambure (1988) and Hrvatska pjesmarica (1989). In 1997, due to legal disputes with composer Josip Ivanković, the group changed its name to Najbolji Hrvatski Tamburaši. Under their new name, they released notable albums such as Sedam dana (2001) and Nostalgija (2007).
