Kitty White, born Kitty Jean Bilbrew on July 7, 1923 in Los Angeles, was an American jazz singer. She began her career at age sixteen as a singer and pianist, performing in local nightclubs such as the Hob Nob and Club Gala. In 1955, she released her debut album A New Voice In Jazz. White's career included notable collaborations with Elvis Presley on "Crawfish" for the film King Creole (1958) and sang the title song of the 1954 film Riders to the Stars. She recorded several albums, including Sweet Talk (1959) and Newborn (1962). White settled in Palm Springs, California, in 1967 and performed at the Spa Hotel for sixteen years. She passed away on August 11, 2009.
