Superfamily, a Norwegian pop rock band from Moss, was formed in 2002 by Steven Ray Wilson, Kim Granholt, and Martin Steffensen. The group initially wrote and recorded songs at home, building a small fan base. Their debut EP, Champagne, was released in 2004, followed by their first album, Back in Paris, in September 2005, under Propeller Recordings. Superfamily achieved mainstream success with their second album, Warszawa, released on May 21, 2007. The lead single "The radio has expressed concerns about what you did last night" became the most played song on NRK P3 in the first half of 2007. Warsawa also peaked at number 6 on the Norwegian charts and won Spellemannprisen in the pop category that year. The band's third album, Guns Tonight, was released on August 31, 2009, followed by their final album, All American, in January 2013. Superfamily disbanded in early August 2013.
