Klaus Müller, known professionally as Klaus Sommer, was born on February 9, 1943, in Lugau, Germany. He started his musical career at 15, performing with a guitar. Sommer's breakthrough came when singer Ruth Brandin recommended him to Amiga Productions. His first single, "Hokuspokus", was released in 1964 as part of a duet with Tina Brix under the name Ten Oliver. He continued to release singles and albums throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including notable tracks such as "Es ist nie zu spät" (1967) and "Schwanensee-Ballerina" (1970). Sommer participated in the GDR's Schlager competition multiple times, achieving a second place finish in 1970 with "Dankeschön für die Stunden mit dir". His final known release was "Nie auseinander gehen" (1990). He passed away in December 1999.
