Puffin is a post-hardcore quartet hailing from the Canadian east coast hub of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The band is composed of
• Richard Sinal (vocals, rhythm guitar)
• Schnell D’Souza (lead guitar)
• Josh Hayden (bass guitar)
• Isaac Bezanson (drums)
The four-piece spent the better part of 2024 honing their craft through relentless practicing and collaborative songwriting. The band’s writing style highlights their appreciation for the energetic nature of modern punk rock (PUP), evenly with the rhythmically-intricate nature of math rock (The Fall of Troy), while tying in the melodic and harmonic elements of post-hardcore (Billy Talent).
The result is an unforgettably energetic live show that combines heavy riffs, soaring melodies, and complex rhythms, with lyrical themes of introspection, vulnerability, and interpersonal conflict.
Puffin proves that even the hardest hitting breakdowns and chaotic walls of sound carry an emotional weight, turning every show into a simultaneous no-holds-barred battlefield and a chorus-belting shoutalong.
