Leonard Dillon, born on December 9, 1942, in Portland Parish, Jamaica, was a singer known for his contributions to reggae music. In the early 1960s, he moved to Florida to support his musical aspirations before returning to Jamaica. His career gained momentum after meeting Peter Tosh in 1964, leading to his first recordings with producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd at Studio One. Notable early tracks include "Woman Wine and Money", "Ice Water" and "What You Get You Must Take". In the late 1970s, he released Everything Crash. Dillon continued to record under various names, including Jack Sparrow for mento/calypso tracks like "Ice Water" with The Wailers on backing vocals. His later albums include On the Road Again (1991) and the posthumous release The Ethiopian (2012), featuring collaborations with The Silvertones. Dillon passed away on September 28, 2011, in Kingston, Jamaica.
